Showcase at Westec 2009
WESTEC 2009 was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from 30th March to 2nd April. It is a major show for the Machine Tools and allied industries, particularly targeted at customers from western part of the USA. Geometric Technologies participated in the show by hosting a booth in which CAMWorks, DFMPro, and eDrawings were showcased and demonstrated. DFMPro attracted much attention.
In keeping with the general trend at shows this year, participation was relatively muted. However, the quality of leads obtained was relatively better, since only those genuinely interested visited the show and our booth. The show also presented ample opportunities to meet with our software partners and representatives from the press.
Geometric Technologies was represented by Donald Dorsey, Mike Sours and Vinay Kulkarni. We also had representation from our resellers with Tim Fulton (Cimtronics), Cody Armstrong (Digital Dimensions) and Chris McBain (GoEngineer) manning demo stations at the booth.

India VARs meet in Mumbai
The India Reseller Meet 2009 was held at Geometric's Mumbai office on Tuesday, 21st April 2009. This event was attended by the Indian regional resellers to discuss and plan effective strategies to increase the share of CAMWorks market in India.
During the day-long meeting, Geometric presented the new features included in the product as well as the different functionalities, and discussed various exciting marketing plans to promote the product and increase revenues. Sambit Pradhan, Business Development Manager - Asia Pacific conducted individual meetings with the resellers to strategize the way ahead for CAMWorks in India.

Geometric at Hannover Messe 2009
Geometric participated in HANNOVER MESSE, a leading technology event, that was held in Hannover, Germany from 20th to 24th April 2009.
Over 6,150 exhibitors from 61 different nations participated in the world's largest and most important showcase for industrial technology. Around 210,000 visitors came to Hannover for the event - one in four of them from outside the country.
Robert Hutter, Sales Director - Products, represented Geometric at the event along with our reseller, GeoVision GmbH, who had set up a booth.

The event provided an excellent platform to network with partners from Europe and other continents. Even in this economically difficult time, the atmosphere amongst exhibitors and visitors was very promising. |
